My Gift Wand !!

Here's my first really great find:
Special thanks to my sisters friend who showed it to me!

 I just found a great new Facebook app called “My Giftwand”.  By using this app, you can send e-gift cards from lots of really great companies to your Facebook friends.  Some of the gift cards that I have recently sent were $5 to Barnes N Noble, $10 to Old Navy, $10 to Gap, $5 to Amazon and $5 to Sephora.  AND GUESS WHAT?!  They really work!  I made a deal with my mom and sister so we sent the gift cards back and fourth to each other (Please note: unfortunately, you cannot send yourself a gift card through this app).  

Example 1: Old Navy Gift Cards that I received:

I have had GREAT success with this program.  Between my sister and I, we received 2 $10 gift cards to Old Navy.  I was able to combine these gift cards at checkout this past weekend.  At the register, my purchases came to a total of $28.00 spent.  CHECK THIS OUT: It was BONUS time at Old Navy.  I spent over $25 dollars, so they gave me a $10 gift card to spend at a later date (Promotion: Super Cash). 
 

So now LETS BREAK THIS DOWN:

I spent $28.00 minus the $20.00 free gift cards = $8.00 spent

Because of the promotion, I received $10.00 to spend in early July

So lets do the math, I spent $8 but Old Navy gave me $10, so I still have $2 more dollars to spend

3 Tshirts size 2T

1 Bathingsuit size 3T

1 Women's Tshirt

Example 2: Sephora Gift card I received:

My sister was able to send me a $5.00 gift card to Sephora.  Makeup is expensive! I was able to purchase a $5.00 eyeliner for basically free.  I paid 43 cents in tax to take the eyeliner out of the store which is clearly a huge savings!

Example 3: Barnes N Noble Gift card I received:

My sister, my mom and I all sent each other $5 gift cards to Barnes N Noble.  That meant that we had a total of $15 to spend.  My sister is still in high school so she needs summer reading books.  Then I went to Mommysavesbig.com and printed out a 15% off one item coupon for each of us.  Using three transactions we were able to get all three of her summer reading books for just under ten dollars, a total savings of $15 + $3.50 from the coupons (15%)!  Thanks MyGiftWand!!
